If you’ve ever wanted to make something useful in a weekend afternoon, this dishcloth is for you. I designed the Atlantic Dishcloth on a rainy Saturday when I was craving something tactile and satisfying, the kind of project that keeps your hands busy while your mind wanders.
The alternating texture of slip stitches and half double crochets creates a subtle woven look that feels sturdy in your hands and gets better with every wash. This pattern is truly beginner-friendly. If you know how to chain, slip stitch, and hdc, you’re ready to go. Two stitches, repeated across every single row. That’s it.
